Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Production Supervisor to be located in our Willows, CA facility. Johns Manville is a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality building insulation, commercial roofing, roof insulation, and specialty products for commercial, industrial and residential applications. The Willows Plant manufactures fiber glass insulation and has earned Star Certification with OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). The Production Supervisor has overall responsibility for coordinating and managing assigned resources and employees to produce high quality products safely and efficiently and to meet fiberglass building insulation production goals.
Responsibilities:
o Supervise production personnel (25-70 employees).
o Effectively communicate with employees and management to drive continuous improvement.
o Plan and schedule work to utilize equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels.
o Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditures and other shift functions.
o Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
o Continuously monitor safety processes and compliance; lead safety process/accident investigation for crew.
o Coordinate work assignments/priorities with shift maintenance personnel.
o Prepare labor, material, and equipment usage reports.
o Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly communication meetings with crew.
o Administer and document training for hourly personnel. Understand where there may be gaps in training and remedy.
o Provide team with constructive, effective feedback as needed; conduct performance reviews.
o Utilize the principles of process improvements (Six Sigma, Lean and/or 5S).
Requirements:

o Four-year college degree (obtained or in progress) OR high school diploma required plus experience and working toward a Four-year degree. (3-5 supervisory exp)
o Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Continuous operations is preferred.
o Supervisory experience required.
o Must be able to meet the demands required in a 365/24/7 manufacturing environment working rotating shifts.
o Excellent interpersonal communication (written and verbal), teambuilding, facilitation, and demonstrated leadership skills required.
o Ability to achieve results independently but also through others.
o Ability to understand business financials and manage costs associated.
o Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
o Basic understanding of OSHA 30.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of the plant.
Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights.
Ability to work effectively in temperature extremes.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
Ability to consistently make appropriate decisions with frequent interruptions.

Additional Consideration Given to Those With:
o Continuous Improvement experience (Six Sigma, Lean or 5S). o SAP or ERP experience. o Fiber glass manufacturing experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
